Bringing over a decade of expertise (and her dog, Rupert!), Dr. DeAnna Fox joins the Humanimals whānau with a passion for pets, people, and gold-standard care.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. DeAnna Fox to Humanimals! With over a decade of veterinary experience across both general practice and emergency care, Dr. Fox brings a deep wealth of clinical expertise and leadership. From serving as Medical Director at a busy multi-doctor practice in Florida to managing high-volume caseloads in both emergency and general settings, she has developed a strong foundation in surgical, dental, and internal medicine. Her career has spanned feline-only clinics, 24/7 ER hospitals, and locum tenens work—making her highly adaptable, efficient, and compassionate under pressure.

Dr. DeAnna Fox is especially excited to bring her skills and passion to Dunedin, drawn by New Zealand’s stunning natural beauty, vibrant communities, and strong animal welfare values. She’s looking forward to joining the exceptional Humanimals team, contributing to a collaborative clinic culture, and building strong, lasting relationships with clients. With a shared commitment to gold-standard veterinary care, DeAnna is eager to support the health and wellbeing of Dunedin’s pets—and she’s not alone! Making the journey with her is best friend and her beloved 7-year-old dog, Rupert, who is ready to settle into life as a proud Kiwi pup!
