Humanimals provides a range of expert & precise surgical services, including:
In our modern clinic, EVERY surgical procedure – from a cat castration to a major orthopaedic – is treated the same: full sterile gown, gloves and mask. Each patient is monitored throughout by our qualified veterinary nurses, using advanced monitoring equipment in our dedicated surgery suite.
We have a three-staged area for surgery, as well as separate recovery areas for cats and dogs and away from our hospitalised patients. This area is kept warm to aid recovery after surgery. We have an area for giving each surgical patient a full physical examination, where the veterinarians will tailor anaesthesia protocols dependant on each patient’s needs, patients are then sedated prior to surgery.
Once adequately sedated, also known as pre-medicated, they are moved into our preparation room where anaesthesia is induced and the patient is connected to gaseous anaesthesia for the rest of the procedure. Each patient is clipped and surgically cleaned and “prepped”, prior to moving through to the surgical suite itself. When in surgery area a final surgical preparation is performed, the patient draped and surgery is then performed. At the completion of surgery patients are returned to their warmed kennels.
